-Enjoying a week off from the PGA TOUR, Paul Tesori partners with Chad James to win gross title by two; Kevin Devine and Brad Swanson top net field-
FOR RELEASE: Wednesday, March 25, 2026
JACKSONVILLE, FL – On perhaps the most spectacular day the month of March has yet to offer, 44 teams representing JAGA member facilities competed today in the JAGA Spring Four-Ball at the Bobby Weed-designed Stillwater Golf and Country Club at the Lennar development off County Road 210 in St. Johns County.
The winning teams were:
Gross: Paul Tesori (Ponte Vedra) and Chad James (King & Bear GC)
Net: Kevin Devine (Stillwater G&CC) and Brad Swanson (Stillwater G&CC)
Tesori is a familiar name to fans who follow local golf and the PGA TOUR. The Nocatee resident was a standout golfer at St. Augustine High School (class of 1990) who went on to play for the University of Florida (1992-95) and then qualify for the TOUR in his first attempt in 1996. For the last 25-plus years, Tesori has caddied on TOUR for Vijay Singh, Tom Kim, new PLAYERS champion Cameron Young and Webb Simpson. He cites being alongside Simpson when his close friend won the 2012 U.S. Open as his greatest caddie moment.
Like Tesori, James was a PGA TOUR caddie before he became a JSO officer. He is now a sergeant. Golf is his passion and he passes on his love and experience by mentoring junior golfers at the World Golf Village courses. Chad and Paul grew up playing the former Ponce de Leon course in St. Augustine and worked as cart attendants together at Marsh Creek CC.
With Stillwater and Lennar hosting JAGA once again in about six weeks for the 69th JAGA Senior Amateur Championship presented by Lennar, there were a significant number of Northeast Florida’s top senior men amateurs entered in search of a preview for the May 3-5 tournament.

Joining the golfers at the awards luncheon was Stillwater golf course architect Bobby Weed, who shared insights into the building of the layout as well as his fondness for and recollections of his mentors and longtime friends, the late Alice and Pete Dye.
