Dawn Woodard holds on to win the Senior Championship Division
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — July 22, 2026 — Sadaly Campbell closed out a victory at the 2026 First Coast Women’s Amateur, holding steady over three rounds to win the Championship Division at 1-over-par 217, edging Chloe Schiavone by two shots.
Campbell, who plays collegiately for Southeastern University and represents Golf Club of Amelia Island, opened with a 73, followed with the low round of her week at 71, and closed with a final-round 73 to finish at 217. Schiavone made a late push with a final-round 74 but came up two shots short at 219 (7273-74).
Campbell said that her play off the tee gave her the confidence to play well. The birdie putt she made on 14 gave her the push to finish strong.
Stella Moritz turned in the best round of the day among Championship Division players, firing a 1-under 71 in the final round to climb to third place at 220. Brianna Castaldi rounded out the top four at 222, powered by a tournament-best 70 in the second round — the lowest single round posted anywhere in the field this week — after opening with a 78.
Nancy Cox (TPC Sawgrass) and Braydn Smith (University of North Florida) tied for fifth at 223, with Cox’s 71 in round two standing out.
Senior Championship
Dawn Woodard of Greer, SC won the Senior Championship Division going away, posting rounds of 74-71-74 for a 3-over 219 and a nine-shot margin of victory. Woodard who is the 2025 US Women’s Senior Amateur Champion, won the FCWA in her maiden voyage. Wendi Christensen was runner-up at 228 (7776-75).
A three-way tie for third at 229 (+13) came down to a photo finish among Mary Jane Hiestand, Kim KeyerScott (Shadow Wood Country Club) and Therese Quinn (Deerwood Country Club).
Senior Field Championship
In the 36-hole Senior Field Championship, Jeri Roche, a member of Jacksonville Golf & Country Club captured the gross title at 14-over 158 (82-76), fending off Kim Bruce, who finished second at 161. Jennifer DiPaula (Eagle Harbor Golf Club) was third at 167.
On the net side, Liz Breza of St. Johns Golf & Country Club, claimed the title with a 147, backed by rounds of 75 and 72.
Jacksonville Golf and Country Club member and past FCWA Champion, Debbie Caruso, used her course knowledge to win the Super-Senior gross title at 15-over 159 (83-76). Debbie finished strong with a back nine at -1 and a amazing birdie on 18 to cap her round. Helen Short of Sawgrass Country Club shot an 81 to surge into second place with a total score of 165. Shawn Anderson of Jacksonville Golf & Country finished in third place with a total of 169.

The First Coast Women’s Amateur, presented by Brooks Rehabilitation, brought together competitors across four divisions — Championship, Senior Championship, Senior Field Championship and SuperSenior Field Championship — for three rounds of stroke-play competition July 20-22 at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla. The First Coast Women’s Amateur helps support three local charities from the event, North Florida Junior Tour, Moore Myers Children’s Fund, and the Jacksonville Area Golf Association.
