The JAGA First Coast Amateur presented by the City of Jacksonville will celebrate its 10th edition Jan. 17-19 when its 96 competitors coming from across the eastern half of the United States descend on Jacksonville and Deerwood Country Club this coming Martin Luther King holiday weekend.

Professional captain Dean Grunewald of host The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach and Amateur captain Steve Carter of Deerwood Country Club have announced their respective 12-player teams for next month’s 35^th edition of the Underwood Cup.

Duke Butler III of TPC Sawgrass was elected to serve a second one-year term as president in 2026 and will lead the organization as it celebrates its 73rd year of promoting golf, community goodwill and volunteerism, and awarding college scholarships.

The Jacksonville Area Golf Association announced its 2025 JAGA Award winners at the organization’s end-of-year Annual Meeting at Stillwater Golf and Country Club.
