The eighth annual Celebration of Golf presented by Circle K was held last night (Feb. 21) at Timuquana Country Club. A sellout crowd of more than 240 supporters of the game of golf from Northeast Florida were on hand.

Down 8 ½ – 3 ½ with just 12 Singles points available, captain Mike Broderick’s Professionals won eight matches and tied two to grab a 12 ½ – 11 ½ victory. This win followes a drought of only one win (2016) in the previous 12 Underwood Cups.

The Jacksonville Area Golf Association (JAGA) elected its 2024 officers today at its end-of-year Annual Meeting at Marsh Landing Country Club. Cary Helton of San Jose Country Club was elected president and will lead the organization in 2024, its 71st year.
