JAGA continues to monitor information concerning the coronavirus and measures to mitigate its spread within our community. The 2020 Match Play Championship dates fall at a time where we may be coming out of the current social distancing and health guidelines, especially as it applies to the protocols for group gatherings and golf currently in place. We anticipate the next few weeks will be a time of transition and we want to remain flexible with our plans for the MPC.

It is JAGA’s intention to play on the scheduled dates only if government/ host club health restrictions have been rescinded to a point where the competition can be held safely and under the Rules of Golf.

Scheduled Dates
Seeding Tournament – May 31st at The Palencia Club
Matchplay Tournament June 12-14 at Queens Harbour Yacht & CC

We will be opening registration via the JAGA website/ BlueGolf on May 5th. Those who register will be assigned a ‘pending’ status until it is determined the event can be hosted on the scheduled dates. If the Championship can be hosted safely and under the Rules of Golf, applications will be accepted and, only at that time, credit cards charged. We will make the determination whether or not to proceed on the scheduled dates no later than May 21st.
In the event the championship cannot be played on the scheduled dates, the Match Play Championship will be postponed. We are in discussion with both clubs concerning potential dates in August and October

JAGA thanks you for your support and understanding during this uncertain time. Be well, and we look forward to seeing you on the golf course again soon!
